Rickard Olsson and Nöjeslivet start the new podcast “Help, I’m turning 50!”
The popular tv-host Rickard Olsson, 57, makes podcast debut with “Help, I’m turning 50!”. In the podcast, which is in collaboration with Nöjeslivet, Rickard will meet Swedish celebrities and talk about how “they see life in the second half”.
– Sweden is one of the most ageist countries in the world, it’s totally insane. So, there will be many exciting conversations, says Rickard Olsson.
The good life that begins or just sheer horror. Turning 50 is an important milestone for many people and something that is often celebrated with pomp and ceremony. At the same time, many people prefer to bury their heads in the sand as soon as a birthday is coming up.
In the new podcast “Help, I’m turning 50!” Rickard Olsson meets some of Sweden’s biggest celebrities to look back on how things turned out and what they think about the future.
Rickard Olsson, famous for hosting the popular tv-show “Vem vet mest?” for many years, has been fascinated by what aging does to us for a long time. He has had the idea for the podcast for many years.
– I had been thinking about this for seven years. It all started when my neighbor turned 50. He was not at all prepared and was taken completely by surprise, says Rickard Olsson and continues:
– It was too much for him to take in and I haven’t been able to let this go. Personally, I think it’s okay to age. But then Sweden has unreasonable age discrimination, so it affects us too.
The first episode of “Help, I’m turning 50!” will be released on the 10th of October. The first guest is the comedian and tv-host Mikael Tornving. Tareq Taylor, Agneta Sjödin, Henrik Schyffert and Kattis Ahlström are some of the other celebrities who will be guests in the podcast.
– We will have an extremely exciting season with many intimate conversations, says Rickard Olsson.
