Newsner breaks Youtube record – over four million new followers

Newsner’s Youtube channel “We Love Animals” reached the milestone of 3 million subscribers just recently. At the same time, our channel “Newsner.com” has surpassed the coveted million subscribers mark.

– It’s fantastic see that people from all over the world like what we do,” says Martina Myräng, head of video at Newsner.

17 million  – that’s how many views “Heroes help zebra trapped in wire”, one of “We Love Animals’” most viewed clips from last year has. With a mix of powerful visuals, skilled storytelling and commitment to animals, the Youtube channel has quickly soared in popularity.

“We Love Animals” is part of Newsner’s major drive on Youtube that started during the spring of 2021. Since then, Newsner’s various Youtube channels have grown by a total of 4 million subscribers and now generate around 150 million views a month.

– We have worked in a targeted way with Youtube during the recent years. It is super exciting to see that it has paid off. We are extremely happy and proud that our content reaches so many people and we will continue telling engaging stories, says Martina Myräng.

The Youtube channel “Newsner.com” has also reached one million subscribers. Previously, Facebook accounted for the lion’s share of Newsner’s video distribution. But with the inclusion of Youtube on our list of platforms, the playing field has changed. Today, Youtube accounts for 30% of Newsner’s total video views.

– Three years ago, we would never have dared to hope that our channels would develop so quickly. It’s thrilling, says Martina Myräng.
